Rate your employer to help people make better career decisions. Overall a good company to work for. Best part is traveling different states and meeting new people and learning more and more to progress and move up! Needs to be updated especially the clock in system still using time punch cards and they just throw you on a station and expect you to know how to run it on your first day.
Cookout was a fun work environment and a pretty easy job. I learned how to take orders, manage money, manage a register, restock drink and ice machines. The schedule was flexible and I was allowed time off when needed. Pros Free meals, flexible hours. Cons Short breaks, long shifts. The workers are nice for the most part. Young adults are managers and immature. Some of the kids hired are drama and the managers do nothing about it.
The store could use an overhaul on managers and some employees. It is hard to move up and the people in higher positions are very rude and talk to you and about you in any kind of way. Pros Half off employee food. Cons Work environment and management. Yes There are 3 helpful reviews 3 No. Working as the overnight grill cook was a lot of fun. The hardest part of the job would have been keeping up with the orders. The crew members who would take orders would say the orders through a microphone next to the register but it was difficult to hear over the speakers.
Never had a problem with any of the store managers, their office was wide open and made available for anyone when they needed to come talk to the manager about anything. Pros They didn't care about overtime. Yes No There are 1 unhelpful reviews 1. Crew Leader. Store Manager. Manager in Training MIT. Fast pace but not enough benefits. The job have more younger folks than adult. Some times there is alot of immature situations that would occur and unnecessary issue that can be solved if there was more leadership in the higher role than young people.
Its a place where you wanna go but you do not , because the staff at cookout was friendly ,but at the same time the managers did favoritism. You get weekly pay that is a good thing but another bad thing is that you barely get help from co-workers because they would always try to judge you , some co-workers actually help, friendly but not such a friendly place to work at.
Pros discount on the food first day working there. Cons short breaks. They are willing to hire anyone. Very fast paced workplace, and management isn't always decent to employees especially those who have been there more than a year.
They may not be as flexible with hours as they claim. Pros you have a job. Cons short breaks terrible at moving up employees. Yes There are 1 helpful reviews 1 No There are 1 unhelpful reviews 1. It was extremely difficult to work with other staff members. There was a lot of miscommunication that could have been easily avoided between staff and management.
Pros half off meals. Cons unorganized. Dealing with a variety of customers on a daily basis helped to develop a strong customer service background. There were many opportunities to learn new skills such as basic money handling, having to work closely with coworkers, and coping with a high volume of stress. One of the hardest parts of the job was that it is a fast food restaurant and the environment between coworkers and customers was not always great to be in.
However, being put in a variety of situations like that forced the adaptation to deal with them in appropriate ways. Pros Forced to adapt to stressful situations. Cons Dealing with difficult people. Yes There are 1 helpful reviews 1 No. It was a terrible job. Good people but not enough pay. Management was sometimes okay but they were very intense.
Fast food is never fun or worth it. No matter how much you put into this job, it won't do you any good in the future. Yes There are 5 helpful reviews 5 No There are 5 unhelpful reviews 5.
I loved working there. I learned how to make milkshakes and what people expected of me. I loved my managers and my coworkers. I do recommend September I have gone three times in 2 weeks for a peach milkshake and all three times they were out of peaches. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because the banana pudding milkshake I got instead was actually pretty good.
Edit: I called the phone number in the response and unsurprisingly no one answered while it rang and it went to voice-mail. Now I only give it 2 stars.
