November 6, And Where? At first review, the prices and selection were comparable — but Zappos was still the king of online shoes, thanks to free shipping both ways. Does anyone really care what Rachel Zoe has to say? In addition, the name Piperlime sounds like some household product invented by the guy who invented Oxyclean. Not everything is bad about the site. The site has a nice selection of shoes from designers like Hollywould, Steve Madden, and Kenneth Cole in a reasonable range of sizes for women.

The prices are just as expensive as Zappos. We are giddy with excitement to see what the Piperlime shop had to offer. Just a few blocks from the new Chanel store and diagonally across the street from American Apparel we spotted the green Piperlime sign and charged right through the doors to get our personal preview and we were not disappointed. First off, any fashion lover would appreciate how they divided each section of the store by trend. There was Military Inspired, Vintage Embellishments, and English Prep, we think this makes it much easier for you to shop.

That is terrible. I had no idea it applied to Amazon too. This is interesting. If Piperlime are trying to compete with Shopbop or Nordstrom, they aren't even coming close. Amazon and MyHabit, because they often sell reduced priced merchandise, I can better understand a strict return period.

But not Piperlime, aren't they selling mostly premium brands at full price? I wouldn't disagree with them on stopping the clock on the day it was delivered back to them, or counting the shipping time to me because those things are somewhat in the consumer's control if you buy expedited or guaranteed shipping.

However, I would definitely call foul on counting their own processing time once the item is back in their possession. How to annoy a customer lesson 1. Sometimes the "nice" tone makes me more cranky:. Note to self: don't buy anything from Piperlime or Amazon unless it is on Terrific sale. Then, know you have less than a week to decide. Why pay full price to them, when I can buy from Nordstrom's or Zappos and get better service and more generous return periods?

So, I won't. I've bought TV's, computers, cameras, video cameras, software, furniture and clothing from them. If they sold cars, I'd probably buy a car from them. Their customer service is impressive - I've asked all kinds of questions and received prompt responses.

Just that with a "30 day" return policy when it comes to an online retailer, you can get tripped up. They need to receive your return in less than 30 days from the time you ordered it. Just something I wasn't aware of at first. At least not until I went to return something for the first time, and realized that I hadn't quite allowed enough shipping time for the parcel to get back to them.

If it's an online-only retailer - and the return period is just 30 days - best be quick about getting those parcels back if you want to return something. Ah, I feel vindicated. I was nice in my email back to them, but the whole "doing this as a courtesy to you because you're a valued customer" scolding irked me.

While Gap has upped their game with free shipping and returns albeit within 45 days , Piperlime has dropped the ball with this explanation of their return policy. Interesting, since they're owned by the same parent company. Piperlime does sell premium brands, but compared to other options out there selling the exact same merchandise, this isn't impressive. Just for the record, I would also be irked and annoyed if I received a "scolding" kind of e-mail.

Not good! Shevia, thanks for the laugh! So true! But the U. However, they will honor this day rather than the date when they do preliminary processing a day or two later. Piperlime is so messed up if they don't honor the date they get something. What is to stop them for sitting on it for a week or a month? Another shout out to Nordstrom and Zappos for their customer service.
